Itinerary 8 days in italian south-east
day 1
Meeting in Naples (airport). Journey to Frosolone, typical village of Molise, a small region of important cheese tradition. Lunch at restaurant with cooking class on grilled meat and local cheese. Late afternoon arrival in Termoli, a village on the sea. Accomodations at a charming diffuse hotel. Free time to enjoy the evening on the waterfront and dinner.
day 2
Breakfast. Transfer to Bari’s countryside. Cooking class on the “orecchiette”, a special apulian pasta. Journey to Ceglie, a lovely town with culinary tradition. Accomodations at quaint hotel nestled among the trulli, in a panoramic position. Dinner.
day 3
Breakfast. In the morning trip to Alberobello, a town whose heart is completely made up of trulli. Lunch on site. In the afternoon excursion to the enchanting Polignano a Mare, country of sea where poems are written all over the walls, home of the famous singer Domenico Modugno, author of the unforgettable song “Volare”.
day 4
Breakfast. Arrival for lunch time to Lecce, a city known as “the Florence of the South”. Visit to Basilica of Santa Croce, the amphitheater of the Roman era and the Piazza del Duomo. Accomodations at charming hotel and dinner.
day 5
Breakfast. Visit to Leuca, the heel of Italy, and his lovely sanctuary with panoramic views of the Ionian Sea. Arrival in Matera in the late afternoon. Accomodations. Dinner.
day 6
Breakfast. Visit the city of stones, jewel of the Italian south, repeatedly location of the masterpieces of cinema (one example: Matera is the Jerusalem of “Passion”, by Mel Gibson). Free time to enjoy the local beauties.
day 7
Departure for the “Sannio”, Benevento’s countryside. Visit to a typical hill farm where guests can try the experience of making the typical “mozzarella”. Aperitif served on hay bales while the cheese reaches the right degree of PH and possibility to buy local products. Departure to Pozzuoli (Naples’ countryside), accomodations in hotel. Dinner.
day 8
Breakfast. Walk to the Sibyl Cumana’s temple, the mythological oracular clairvoyant pre-Roman era. Return to Naples (Station or Airport)
