Departure to Matera with private transfer and arrival in the afternoon. Accomodations in the hotel. City tour starting from the “Plan”, the old town area placed higher than the famous “Sassi” and characterized by a striking architectural stratification.

Walking along the streets where directors Pasolini and Mel Gibson have respectively setted “The Gospel of Matthew” and “Passion” you will have the opportunity to touch the history of this unique place and taste its intimate nature; right in the heart of Sasso Caveoso you will have the chance to visit a typical cave dwelling furnished according to the ancient customs and be enchanted by the beautiful Byzantine and Benedictine frescoes and by one of the most interesting rock churches of the territory.

Then you can stand in the most beautiful sights and discover the hidden corners of the old districts of Matera. Return to the hotel. Dinner.
